Bishop C. H. & Prophetess Eletha Murray
"The Conductor" of the "Sonshine Express" has over 30 years of experience in radio. The Sonshine Express was birthed on radio station KXLA 990 AM in February 1989. Bishop Murray has worked as a general manager and program director for several stations. He is a former member of the Gospel Announcer's Guild of the Gospel Music Workshop of America, and is a 2008 Stellar Award nominee. Bishop Murray and his wife Prophetess Eletha Murray are the owners of KJMG-97.3 FM in Monroe, LA.

Bishop C. H. Murray's Sonshine Express
was created to offer to the Gospel music family a place where you can hear the "Gospel classics" that will never die, as well as "Today's
Gospel hits". We want to make sure that there is a variety of Gospel music genres in rotation to reach all lovers of Gospel music.
We are also committed to the truth of the Gospel message; that is to say, we will have some crossover music in our rotation, as long as the lyrics take "The Cross"
over. We are not just committed to music, but we are committed to ministry as well. We welcome your input. So feel free to contact us to let us know how we can best serve our listeners.

Pastor Shawn Jones
was an anointed preacher and gospel singer. He passed away doing what he loved to do, "working for the Lord", on November 18, 2017 at age 32. Whether preaching or singing he seemed to feel what he was doing down in his bones. Pastor Jones was a former member of the Alabama Spirituals
where he is best known for his lead on the song "Worthy Is
He". He later formed his own group, "Pastor Shawn
Jones & the Believers", best known for the hit "I'm
Depending On You". Pastor Shawn Jones will live on through his music which we are pleased to have in rotation here on "The Sonshine Express"!
